Texas Energy Storage TES Inc is a startup company founded in 2021 to manufacture rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs.
Our mission is to build novel batteries for the storage of solar and wind energy.
We produce Integral Tubular Batteries ITBs based on Our Novel Technology patented in 2020 and 2021. Our newly designed ITBs are rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with integral thermal management system, as in traditional Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers, wherein the tubes are the lithium-ion cells and the shell is the ITB battery pack. The technology allows for both air and liquid cooling. The modular design gives flexibility as to the size and voltage configuration of the final battery pack.

- High energy density and small size relative to existing batteries Modules in the Market, i.e. (27 in x 9 in x 3.5 in) for 2.6 kWh Module capacity or 80 kWh in a space of (4.5 ft x 6 ft x 7 inches).
- Very easy to replace cells and refurbish the battery modules compared to existing batteries where it is near impossible to repair.
- Our Technology offer DO IT YOURSELF battery system for solar energy storage at home or outside activities such as Boats, and camping needs.
- Light weight in comparison to existing technology, as the complete battery pack is made out of engineering materials like PC and ABS, and the weight of the battery is made mostly out of the weight of the cells.
- Flexible configuration in space with multiple Module sizes and custom Module sizing.
- Very long life of the pack up to 30 years due to the long life of the engineering materials.
- High impact. Weather and UV resistant Materials of construction.
- Very affordable and competitive. The long-life price of the battery or the storage facility converges to the prices of the lithium-ion cells.

Small battery modules of 0.5 kWh, 1.2 kWh, 2.5 kWh, and up to 15, 30, and 45 kWh energy storage systems for household energy backup can be ordered through our website and delivered to your home.
Large MWh facilities for Energy Storage and Industrial Applications are offered through EPC projects in collaboration with the client and third-party EPC companies.
I am Dr. Ahmed Tarfaoui, graduate of Washington University in St. Louis MO, and Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. I am the founder and President of Texas Energy Storage TES Inc.
I have more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector, and design of onshore and offshore facilities for the oil and gas industry as well as in the refinery. My simple dream is “to contribute to building the largest rechargeable battery in the world for renewable energy storage”.
I have designed many shell and tube heat exchangers in my career for the leading multinational companies in the energy sector, and I testify that this type of exchanger is the golden industrial standard for thermal management for over a century. I was always convinced that one can simply covert a Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger to a huge battery wherein the tubes hold the battery material such as lithium-ion based and the Shell is used for cooling.
With a lot experiments and innovative design, I submitted and was granted a patent for this novel product and technology. I called it Integral Tubular Battery ITB®. The technology allows the designer to combine both Shell and Tube legacy of engineering code and standards in safety, with lithium-ion technology, to build a new generation of inherently safe and industrially scaled batteries.
Our next generation of cells with a second patented design of hollow cylindrical cells to fit in the ITB®, will allow Texas Energy storage TES Inc to become a leader in green energy storage in Texas, the United States and Globally both for thermal management systems and lithium-ion cell manufacturing.
